Footnote referring to literature item number 1 [4].
To add a normal footnote, write footnote=<text> in brackets on the place where you want to refer to it. Replace <text> with the text of the footnote.
To add a literature footnote, find out the unique id of the literature item you want to refer to. Then replace <text> in the example above with 'literature-<unique id>'. The footnote will show the name of the author followed by the publication year. If you want to add additional text to this footnote, you can do this by adding another hyphen after the unique id, followed by the text.
Another example of a literature footnote. If you want to add a footnote to the test book with unique id=1 and you want to add the text: 'especially pp50-60' you can do it like this [5].
If you click on the number of the footnote, you will go to the bottom of the page, where the footnotes are. Click on the ^sign in the footnote, and you go back to the text.
Behind a literature footnote, there is a small image. Click on it to read more on the literature item.
Every literature item is also on the references page.
